and entertainers will be stopping by the Stafford for one night only.
Mark Jungers will be in tow with the Mules to bring you some tunes. If
you like pure Americana and true Texas music, you won't wanna miss this
night. Mark frequently shares the stage with Adam Carroll, Fred
Eaglesmith, Susan Gibson, and the such!
Opening the night will be
another rare treat, Slim Bawb and GatorBait. If you are a fan of cajun
zydeco, Americana, roots rock, or all of the above, then you'll like
what you hear. They bring their eclectic blend of sounds into the
Stafford.

The Chubby Knuckle Choir
Beau
was born and bred in Washington County, TX. Over the years, his love
for music got him writing songs, and eventually performing those songs.
His first album, "This Round's On Me", released in 2007, was mostly
self-produced and included some local guest musicians, including
harmonica player Doyle Spitzer.
In 2008, Beau met Josh Reddoch
(percussionist), and starting regularly jamming on his back porch. Soon,
Beau invited Doyle to come over to jam. The "Backporch Shufflers"
began. Eventually, Racecar Jim Bernick was added on bass.
The
following year, the Backporch Shufflers kept jamming on the porch,
perfecting their sound, then recorded it. The result is "Undertow",
Beau's 2010 release. (read less)
The Chubby Knuckle Choir performs an eclectic mix of Rock, Country,
Americana, Swamp Rock/Swamp Blues and R&B/Soul. The group also
boasts melodic harmonies which have become a staple in their sound. The
group was formed from band member Curtis Farley’s Twisted Twig Studio
in Bastrop, Texas. All of the members of the Chubby Knuckle Choir
recorded there as solo artists. All of the members thought that it
would be a good idea that they join forces and play out. After a year
of tuning, The Chubby Knuckle Choir was born. The Chubby Knuckle Choir
is: Tres Womack, Slim Bawb, Rory Smith, and Perry Lowe.

Located in Downtown Bryan’s Historic district, The Stafford was originally constructed in the early 1913 as an opera house. The progression of time allowed The Stafford to evolve into a silent film theater, to complete the circle it is now being re-opened as a live music venue with a whole different sound. Patrons can enjoy a unique blend of history, comfort, industrialization and a large variety of new and established talent.
